Property Line Question, Michigan?
Property line issues with neighbors, Michigan?
My neighbors live in a nice subdivision next door. We do not. Everyone in the sub has their lawn maintained through a company. We mow our own lawn. When we first went in we installed “invisible fence”. My neighbor took it upon himself to come over and harass the workers and stand along the property line to make sure they did not install the fence on “HIS” property. Since then we have become very aware of the property line and try not to cross paths with our neighbor. For the last 5-6 years my husband has been mowing approx. 40 sq. yards of THEIR lawn because it meets right up with ours and it looks nasty if left to grow. They don’t notice because it’s behind a row of pine trees.
What do we do? We can politely question them to mow their own yard but if they don’t… what’s the next step? I don’t mind mowing the lawn as long as I have rights to that lawn to plant a garden or do whatever.
