My kitten jumped to my neighbour’s house and then I heard him meowing like in pain. When he came back he walked with his leg in the air.
Today I was walking in my garden when I heard the same meow and I recognise him. I ran to my neighbour’s house and I found him hitting my kitten with a garden hoe. The same that happened to “hello there lovely”.
Now my kitten is hurted and can’t nearly walk.
What can I do?
Is he going to die?
What should I do with my neighbour?

TAKE YOUR PET TO THE VET AND REPORT YOUR NEIGHBOUR IMMEDIATELY FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY. That is disgusting behaviour it’s a excellent job I don’t know who did it let me tell you.
You have to have proof and that means someone other than you seeing it or pictures. Take the cat to the vet and see if it’s ok. If not,at least see if the neighbor will pay for it! Excellent luck!
I would report him to authorities, but beware that he will probably deny everything. If you can get a diagnosis from the vet about the injury it will make your case stronger. And then, if he denies it, you have stronger proof and it puts him on warning that you know, and the authorities can suspect.
But keep your kitten inside. They can do perfectly fine inside, or outside in a screen in area where they are safe.
The next time you see him do that run up to him yell,” YOU ******* IDIOT YOU NEARLY KILLED MY CAT!!! YOU ARE GONNA PAY FOR THE VET BILLS! IF YOU EVEN TRY TO DO THAT AGAIN I’M GONNA SUE YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT!!! ” take the cat to the vet and before you do that give your neighbor the finger.
Report the neighbor to the police and KEEP YOUR CAT INSIDE. The cat needs to be seen by a vet to find out how terribly hurt he is.

The first thing you need to do, is call the police and file a complaint against your neighbor for animal cruelty. The second thing you need to do is to get your kitten to a veterinarian for proper care. The vet’s report will be part of the evidence against your neighbor to be used in a court case. You will also want to take photographs to show how the kitten was moving and not able to walk, and any visible injuries. The third thing you will need to do is insist that the neighbor pay the veterinarian’s bills – you may have to take that person to court and sue him. The fourth thing you need to do is to recognize that your neighbor is a danger to your kitten, and keep the kitten safely inside your home.
That is a crime and a violation of all that is humane.

Take the poor kitty to the animal hospital 4 a check up. Take pictures of her first as evidence. Tell ur neighbor to pay the bill and u won’t turn him in. But if he refuses to pay u can file a complaint with ur city poliece dpt and he can do time. Sometimes like a few months to a year for harming domistic animals. And he probb is awear of that. First off, I don’t agree what your neighbor did at all, but it’s HIS property, the cat is tresspassing, if he doesn’t want animals on it, he can do what he wants, I guess he could call animal control too, get you involved for not being able to keep your damn animals off his property. You don’t own his yard, HE own his yard. Maybe you shouldn’t let your damn pets run wild. Annoys me when people like you are like “my cat was found/eaten/mauled/dead/etc” when you just let them run wild, what do you expect? And yes, I have a kitten, I walk him on a lead when he wants to go outside. I would never let him go outside on his own because the world isn’t safe. If you’re so inclined to have them outside, take the time to build a cat run so they can do it safely (yeah lead training is hard, I know), but anyone can build a run for them if they take the time. Take care of your damn pets, you’re as much responsible for your kittens pain as he is.
As for it being a “crime”, maybe you should look up the law a small bit. Under “normal” circumstances (i.e. a person just coming up to any ancient cat and beating them, yes). But, your neighbor can easily claim your kitten was being aggressive towards him, and going to attack and it was self defense, then YOU would have your cat taken away or worse. Sorry but it angers me when people don’t take care of their pets and blame everyone else when they get hurt, over something that could have been preventable.
